The New Shanghai Circus
In recent years, the Incredible Acrobats of China have created a series of excellent magic and acrobatic productions for guests to our Branson resort, Chateau on the Lake. The Troupe has acquired a wealth of young performers and personnel who have won Gold and Silver medals, as well as prizes for skill and creativity in many major national and international competitions.
In 1998, the New Shanghai Circus invested in commercial shows in Branson, Missouri to the delight Branson resort guests. The following year, they won many awards, including “Best Show of the Year” and “The Branson Peace Award.”
The New Shanghai Circus, performed by the Incredible Acrobats of China, has toured in the United States, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Korea, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Belgium, France, Hong Kong and Taiwan, and enjoys great prestige both at home, among Branson resort guests and abroad.
The always-evolving show has been well-received by Branson resort guests and critics alike in terms of the music, lighting and theatrics that surround the acrobats themselves.
The acrobats perform everything, from contortion to trapeze to group and solo bicycle riding, and those are just a few small segments of the fabulous performance. Flexibility, balance, strength and endurance are major components of the show that inspire awe among Branson resort guests as well.
